The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on the CKPS Wanted List.
On March 5, 2012, the man and his common-law spouse engaged in a verbal argument which escalated into a physical altercation. It is alleged that the man assaulted the woman, threatened her and ripped the telephone out of the wall, preventing her from calling police. As the man left the residence, he was confronted by a family member whom he also threatened.
Attempts were made to locate the man, however when unsuccessful, a warrant for the charges of assault x3, forcible confinement, utter threats x3 and mischief was issued for his arrest.
Yesterday morning, the 27-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested in London. CKPS officers transported the man back to Chatham-Kent where he is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
