The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant for two break and enters in Wallaceburg.
On January 16, 2013, a woman reported that unknown suspect(s) forced their way into her home on Water Street, causing $100 damage to a window. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole an X-Box 360 and two games valued at $400.
On January 18, 2013, the woman reported that unknown suspect(s) had entered her home again and stolen a 40†RCA television valued at $300.
Through investigation, police located the stolen items and identified the man responsible for both break and enters. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.
On March 6, 2013, the man was arrested and released with conditions pending a future court date.
On June 12, 2013, the man failed to attend court and another warrant was issued for his arrest.
Yesterday morning, officers located the man and he was arrested on the outstanding warrant.
The 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to court for a bail hearing. He has been charged with break and enter x2, theft under $5000 x2, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 x2 and failing to attend court.
