Man arrested after breaking into Momentum Credit Union

Detectives from the BEAR unit continued to investigate further and have discovered that Alante Dudley was responsible for more entries into other businesses over the past few months.

On Tuesday June 28, Alante has been charge with additional charges:

SHG Studios located at 12 Ferguson Avenue North

Addition charges of:

Break and Enter- Commit

Fail to Comply Probation

Central Presbyterian Church located at 165 Charlton Avenue West

Additional charges of:

Break and Enter – Intent

Fail to Comply Probation

Restoration House located at 103 MacNab Street North

Additional charges of:

Break and Enter – Commit

Fail to Comply Probation

BACKGROUND

Man arrested after breaking into Momentum Credit Union

On Sunday June 26, 2016, just shortly after 6:30pm, Hamilton Police officers responded to the Momentum Credit Union situated at 698 King Street East after receiving reports of an audible alarm.

It was further indicated that a suspect was seen inside of the bank and that nobody should be present.

The officers arrived on scene and observed a suspect inside of the bank. The suspect, a man was directed to exit the building at which time he complied and was arrested. The man was in possession of tools used for breaking into the building and few rolls of coins.

CHARGED: Alante Dudley, 20 year old man from Hamilton

CHARGES:

Break and Enter – Intent

Possession of Burglary Tools

Fail to Comply Probation

Alante Dudley’s bail has been opposed and he will appear in court to answer to these charges.
