Man Airlifted After Workplace Accident

(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On Monday June 11, 2018 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious workplace injury at York Street, Elora. Initial reports indicated that a 27-year-old male had sustained serious trauma to his right hand while operating a mill.

OPP as well as Centre Wellington Fire Rescue and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Services attended and treated the patient. He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and then airlifted to a trauma centre.

The Ministry of Labour (MOL) is investigating.
