On the 18th of October 2013, school authorities at Wallaceburg District Secondary School conducted an investigation in regards to the alleged use and possible drug trafficking of cannabis marijuana at the local High school. School Authorities observed two high school students meet behind the school near the football field acting in a suspicious manner. The two students were approached by school authorities.
Authorities observed three bags of marijuana laid out beside the students on the step along with a quantity of money. The alleged suspects handed the quantity of money along with the marijuana over to the school authorities.
The alleged suspects were then brought to the school office where their back backs were searched by school authorities. Inside the back pack, along with the three bags of marijuana was a baggie filled with dozens of small baggies suitable for the packaging of cannabis marihuana. Also in the backpack was a digital scale with visible cannabis marijuana residue on its face.
Chatham-Kent Police attended the High school and arrested a 17 year old male for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. The youth was released with several conditions pending a future court date.
