On January 3, 2015, at 1:15 a.m., an altercation between several parties that are known to each other occurred inside a residence just west of the downtown core. During the altercation, a 50-year-old male sustained numerous lacerations to his face, leg and back. He was transported to the Guelph General Hospital for treatment and released later that day.
