(MOUNT FOREST, ON) On Thursday May 2, 2013 at approximately 6:45 pm Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call to assist the Mount Forest Fire Department and Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) underneath the bridge on Main Street South, Mount Forest.
Three youth were walking underneath the bridge, where there is a man-made waterfall. One male aged 16 of Wellington North Township was walking along a narrow ledge and attempted to sit down. He lost his footing and fell approximately 10 feet onto a concrete pad below.
The male was assisted by the Mount Forest Fire Department and was taken by ambulance to the Louise Marshall Hospital. Minor injuries were reported.
