Male Charged With E-Bike Theft

Barrie police responded to a call on Leacocok Drive for the theft of an E-Bike. After speaking with the owner of the bike it became apparent that he knew the suspect but never gave the male permission to borrow his E-Bike.

When police located the suspect the E-Bike had sustained approximately $1000 dollars in damage. The 20 year Barrie resident was arrested and taken into custody for Take Auto without Owners Consent and Mischief. The E-Bike was returned to the victim and the male was later released with a scheduled court date. The E-Bike had no pedals and therefore falls within the clasification of a motor vehicle.
