Barrie Police were called to a Brucker St address for a male who broke into his ex wife’s home and began to assault her.
The victim called 911 and told Police the male was her ex-husband who was being investigated for an ongoing criminal harassment and mischief against her.
She reported the male broke into her home, punched her in the face and head numerous times before her teen sons were able to intervene.
Police arrived and took the male into custody and transported the male to the Barrie Police Service.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
A 51 year old Oro Medonte resident is facing charges of break and enter, assault, mischief and criminal harassment and is being held for a bail hearing.
