Mississauga – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have made an arrest in a fail to remain incident that occurred in 2012.
On July 10, 2012, at approximately 4:10 p.m., the victim, a 48 year-old Burlington man, was operating his 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle on Lakeshore Boulevard at Winston Churchill Boulevard in the City of Mississauga. The victim was involved in a collision where he suffered life threatening injuries.
The driver of the second involved vehicle, a 2011 Ford Escape, fled the scene on foot immediately after the collision. The culprit vehicle was left on scene. During the investigation, the driver was identified as 28 year old Christopher CAUSGROVE-CARTER of Hamilton.
A warrant was subsequently issued for Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident and Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking or Recognizance. On October 30, 2016, with the assistance of the Peel Regional Police 11 Division Probation Recognizance Offender Bail Enforcement (P.R.O.B.E) Unit, Christopher CAUSGROVE-CARTER was located in the City of Niagara Falls and arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant. CAUSGROVE-CARTER was held for a bail hearing on October 31, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
