Mailboxes Damaged

(CARRICK TWP, ON) – On December 3rd, 2011 at 12:43 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a mailbox that had been ripped from its post and destroyed at a residence along Concession 4, Carrick Township. 2 calls from residents along Concession 8, Carrick Township were also received, for a total of 3 mailboxes that were damaged during the overnight hours of December 2nd, December 3rd, 2011. Damaging a mailbox is mischief, which carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison. Stealing mail is also an offence which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
