(HURON TWP, ON) On February 2, 2103 at 10:19 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report that the community mailbox on Hill Street in Huron Township had been forcibly entered. Officers attended and found that 3 locks had been cut off allowing access to the individual mailboxes. Stealing items from the mail is a criminal offence called Theft from mail which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.
