Lucien Dube Caught Trying To Sell Stolen Wedding Rings Via Internet

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron OPP officers have recovered a stolen gold wedding band and engagement ring belonging to an Exeter resident. On July 9, 2012 the victim reported to police that she saw her rings being advertised for sale on an internet based classified website. Officers contacted the seller of the stolen rings and arranged to meet him in person.

Just after 5:00 p.m. the culprit met the officers at an Exeter restaurant and produced the stolen rings for sale. Officers arrested the male and took possession of the stolen rings. The wedding rings were later returned to the owner.

Lucien DUBE, age 23, from Exeter, has been charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000. He has a court date scheduled for Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on September 27, 2012.
