Louis Poirier Jr. – Drive While Suspended

(HURON EAST, ON) – On January 12, 2013 just before 9:00 p.m. Huron County OPP officers stopped a white Pontiac that entered a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint set up at the intersection of Brussels Line and Blyth Road. Officers noticed the validation sticker on the rear licence plate was expired. Upon further examination officers determined the attached licence plates were not authorized for the Pontiac. In addition, officers learned the male driver held a suspended driver’s licence.

As a result, Louis POIRIER Jr., age 40, from Huron East has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle while Suspended and Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He has a court date scheduled for March 5, 2013 at Provincial Offences Court – Goderich.
