(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On Saturday February 1, 2014, at approximately 10:05 a.m. Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a driver of a motor vehicle on Purple Valley Road, investigation revealed that the driver of the brown 2000 Pontiac Montana van was driving with no validation on licence plate.
Further investigation revealed that the driver was found to be operating the motor vehicle with no insurance.
Lorne JOHNSTON, age 43, of Neyaashiiningmiing, First Nation Territory, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with drive motor vehicle, no validation on plate, also under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with operate a motor vehicle without insurance. His vehicle was towed from the scene.
He is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on Monday, February 24, 2014 to answer to the charges.
