London Police Recover Stolen Uniforms

Overnight, on Thursday July 21, 2016, a local dry cleaner was broken into and a quantity of Emergency Services uniforms were stolen from the business.

The uniforms stolen consisted of shirts, pants, and jackets belonging to the London Police Service, London Police Auxiliary and Western University Campus Community Police Service.

On Saturday, July 23, 2016, a search warrant was executed at a Centre Street residence and all of the stolen clothing was recovered. Also seized were a wedding dress, a gown and a pair of men’s dress pants that were taken in the break and enter as well.

As a result of the investigation, Michelle Carter (31 years) of London has been charged with five counts of possession of property obtained by crime. She will appear in court this morning, Sunday, July 24, 2016.

The London Police Service continues to investigate this matter.
