(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Wednesday February 22, 2012 Perth County OPP officers were advised of a break-in which had occurred to a trailer at a residential construction site along Perth Road 163 north of Fullarton.
Investigation revealed that sometime between Tuesday morning February 21st and Wednesday morning February 22nd the enclosed single axle cargo trailer parked on the construction site driveway was entered. Padlocks on the doors were cut and a number of power and air tools were removed from inside. A DEWALT jig saw and two DEWALT screw guns as well as a PASLODE and PORTER finishing nailer were stolen.
The Perth County OPP is reminding residents to write down or make note of the make, model, description and serial numbers of valuable items they own. Engraving identifying names, codes or numbers will also deter thefts and allow the return of property upon recovery.
Anyone having information about this theft or the whereabouts of the tools is requested to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
