On Sunday October 4th, a 16 year old Wingham youth was arrested by Wingham Police following a string of thefts from motor vehicles around town over the weekend. Police had reports of 12 vehicles being entered and items stolen including clothing and cash. Unfortunately not all property could be recovered. The youth who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with theft under $5,000 and Failing to Comply with a prior youth sentence. The youth is to appear in Youth Court in Goderich on December 3rd to answer to the charge.
