Lock Your Doors and Hide Your Valuables

We have received several emails about a rash of break and enters in
the small towns and rural areas around Wingham. WFP will continue to
post all press releases form the OPP, and any other police
department that is responsible enough to issue them to inform the
public.

If you see suspicious persons or prowlers in your neighborhood,
please take the time and get a description of the persons and
vehicles involved and call the police with the information. 
Lock your doors, even when you are home! There have been several
home invasions over the last year. Criminals have used various
weapons, from shovels to guns while they rob and traumatize the hard
working taxpayers they victimize.  Hide your valuables in a
place that is not obvious.  Putting all your jewelry in a
jewelry box on the dresser, makes it very easy for thieves to walk
away with your all your rings etc. in one convenient carrying
box.  The same is true for small safes that aren’t bolted down.

Install a security system.  Four camera systems with dvr and
night vision are about $300 on Ebay, and take 3-4 days to arrive
from China.
