(WALKERTON, ON) – On February 13th, 2012 at 10:30 pm, members of the South Bruce OPP set up a R.I.D.E. check at the intersection of Jackson Street and Prince Street in Walkerton.
At 10:50 pm, a Grey Chevrolet Silverado pickup stopped and officers found open alcohol in the truck. The 17 year old driver was charged for Drive with open alcohol. The 18 year old passenger was charged with Person under 19 years having alcohol.
At 11:10 pm, a Black Toyota Tundra pickup stopped and officers found open alcohol in the truck. 25 year old Josh DAVIS of Ayton was charged for Drive with open alcohol. Motorists are reminded that R.I.D.E. checks are conducted every day. The South Bruce OPP has a zero tolerance for mixing alcohol and driving.
