(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA, ON) – On June 20, 2018 at approximately 5:30 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision involving two motor vehicles on Highway 7, between Guelph and Rockwood. Initial reports indicated that an SUV and a sedan had collided head on.
OPP, Fire Rescue Service and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service attended the scene. A 71-year-old Guelph woman was airlifted to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. A 77-year-old Halton man was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both injured parties where the lone occupants of their respective vehicles.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and the roadway will remain closed until further notice.
