Lawrence Thompson – Cocaine Bust

(Municipality of Chatsworth, ON.) – On August 14th , 2009 members of the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Unit and the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, along with members of the Western Region Emergency Response Team, K9, and the Grey County Detachment, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant in the Municipality of Chatsworth.

The search warrant was executed on a residence located on Salters Street, in the village of Williamsord.

Police seized approximately $20 000 worth of cocaine, and smaller quantities of psilocybin (magic mushrooms), and cannabis marihuana. Also seized was a large sum of Canadian Currency and other drug paraphernalia.

A lone male, Lawrence THOMPSON, 54yrs of Williamsford, was arrested on scene and subsequently charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Psilocybin, Possession of Cannabis Marihuana, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. THOMPSON was held for bail on the 14th of August 2009.
