Large Amount Of Marijuana Stolen In Dispensary Robbery

Case #: 16-1495180

On Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at 7 p.m., a marijuana dispensary in the Queen Street West, just west of Bathurst Street area, was robbed.

It is alleged that:

– two men disguised their identities with masks, gloves and hooded sweatshirts

– the two men entered the premises

– one of the men was armed with a silver starter’s pistol that resembled a .38 calibre revolver

– during the robbery, a large quantity of marijuana and cash was taken

– the public assisted police with this investigation and one of the men, 18, was arrested at the scene

– the stolen property and the starter’s pistol were recovered

– on Thursday, August 25, 2016, the other man, 19, was identified, located and arrested.

Karl Chin-Chen, 18, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Robbery

2) Disguise with Intent

3) Use Imitation Firearm to Commit Indictable Offence

4) Forcible Confinement

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 10 a.m., room 101.

Dylan Harris, 19, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Robbery

2) Use Imitation Firearm to Commit Indictable Offence

3) Disguise with Intent

4) Forcible Confinement

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Friday, August 26, 2016, 0 a.m., room 101.
