Kyle QUIPP – Refuse To Blow, Licence Automatically Suspended For 90 Days

(HOWICK, ON) A 23 year old driver from Listowel has been charged with Fail to Provide a Breath Sample after he was stopped by police on Saturday night. Just before 8:30 p.m. on January 31, 2015 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer located a GMC Sierra pickup truck that had went off the road and went into the ditch on Quarry Line. Officers pulled up on scene as the driver was attempting to get back onto to the roadway.

Upon speaking with the driver police noted the driver had been consuming alcohol. A roadside screening test demand was given to the driver and the driver refused to provide a sample.

As a result, Kyle QUIPP, 23, from Listowel was arrested and charged with Refusal to Provide a Breath Sample contrary to section 254 (2) Criminal Code. He was released from custody with a court date scheduled for March 19, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham. His motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days and his driver’s licence has been suspended for an automatic 90 days.
