(HOWICK TWP, ON) – On February 18, 2012 at 1:17 a.m. Huron OPP officers stopped a speeding Jeep Cherokee that was traveling westbound on Harriston Road just east of Gorrie. Upon speaking with the male driver, officers noted the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages. The driver failed a roadside breath test and later provided two intoxilizer tests at the Listowel OPP detachment.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and open containers of alcohol and a quantity of an illicit drug were found in the vehicle.
Kyle DORSCHT, age 25, from Lucknow, ON has been charged with Operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, Possession of a controlled substance, Speeding 130km/h in a posted 90km/h zone, Fail to have insurance card and Drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor. He is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham on April 19, 2012 to answer to the charges. In addition, he was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. LP12043034
