(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a local male facing alcohol related charges.
On August 5, 2015 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle in Bobcaygeon and determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol.
As a result of the investigation Kyle BOWLAND, 29 years of age, of Bobcaygeon, was charged with the following offences:
Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
Driving with more than 80mgs of Alcohol in 100ml of Blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
Driving Motor Vehicle with Unsealed Container of Liquor contrary to the Liquor Licence Act
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on September 10, 2015.
