Kudos To Rob Ford – Still Better Than Some North Huron Councillors

The flaws in our Municipal Act are now known globally. 
International media is covering Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, and seem
baffled that the man is still in power, and there is nothing that
can be done to remove him.  When government officials can bully
the public with impunity, we are not living in a Free and Just
society.  On an ethical scale, Rob Ford is far superior to
several North Huron councillors.  I don’t care what politicians
do on their own time.  I do care about what they do while in
chambers, how they treat the public, if our infrastructure is
maintained, if services are cost effective, and what the tax rate
is. 

Rob Ford has clearly demonstrated that it is not only North Huron
that needs a recall mechanism, but the entire province.  When
Representatives are elected to Municipal office, they know they can
not be removed, and they can do as they please with virtually no
accountability.  You can threaten people, smoke crack, buy
crack, intimidate people, call their boss, and refuse to do uphold
the Municipal Act by holding department heads to account. The truly
despicable can slander and libel those that do not have the
financial means to litigate to defend themselves.  Not many
people can afford a lawyer, especially after paying property taxes
and the punitive apartment tax”.  Bernie Bailey still has not
apologized for publicly stating that someone was “getting drunk and
attacking kids”.  Just so happens
