(KINCARDINE, ON) – On June 1, 2016 at 6:38 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a bear sighting on Adelaide Street in Kincardine. Officers kept observation of the bear as it moved into a bush area south of Kincardine Avenue. After receiving more reports of bear sightings in Kincardine, the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) was contacted. At 10:42 a.m. on June 1, 2016 the bear was captured by a Conservation Officer for relocation to a more suitable area.
