Kijiji Used To Lure Teen – Police Fear More Victims – Irfan Virji Charged & Picture Released

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

– on Sunday, June 14, 2015, a man placed an ad on the website Kijiji, for a room for rent in his condominium in the Kennedy Road and McNicoll Avenue area

– on Thursday, June 25, 2015, an 18-year-old woman attended the condominium to view the unit for rent

– the woman was offered alcoholic beverages and marijuana

– after viewing the unit, the woman was escorted out of the building by the man

– the woman was led to an area that required a key card to access and exit

– the man then sexually assaulted the woman

On Friday, June 26, 2015, Irfan Virji, 20, of Toronto, was arrested.

He has been charged with:

1) Sexual Assault

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, 2 p.m.

Police believe there may be more victims.
