(BLUEWATER, ON) – An erratic driver caught the attention of two concerned motorists late Saturday night. The concerned witnesses called police and reported a possible impaired driver was travelling southbound on London Road (Highway 4) near Brucefield. Just before 11:00 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was able to locate and stop the driver of a Buick Century on London Road near Harvest Road. The officer determined the male driver was impaired by alcohol and arrested the driver. He was transported to the Sebringville OPP Detachment for breath tests; both tests were above the legal limit.
Kevin PORTER, 48, from Exeter has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on June 27, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
