(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday September 24, 2011 shortly before midnight a vehicle was stopped at an OPP RIDE check in Gowanstown. The odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on the drivers breath and he was administered a roadside breath test. The driver failed this test and was brought to the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel where Intoxilyzer breath tests confirmed blood alcohol levels above the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol.
Kevin Martin (42) of Howick Twp. was charged with operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He is scheduled to appear in Listowel Court on October 26, 2011 to answer to this charge.
