Kenneth McGirr – Drunk Driving, 90 Day Suspension

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday July 14, 2012, around 11:45 p.m., a Perth County OPP officer on patrol observed a north bound pickup truck weaving from side to side within its lane on Perth Road 119 north of Stratford. The officer spoke to the male driver and detected signs of impairment. The male was arrested and transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.

Kenneth McGirr (32) of Kitchener has been charged with “impaired operation of a motor vehicle” and “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on August 13, 2012, to answer to these charges. He was issued an immediate 90 day driver’s licence suspension, and his 2000 Dodge Ram pickup truck was impounded for seven days.
