On the weekend of Saturday / Sunday March 15/16th the Guelph Police began a proactive campaign in preparation for St. Patrick Day festivities. Guelph Police became aware of several planned keg parties for St. Patrick’s Day. Under the Liquor Licence Act, it is illegal to sell alcohol without a licence. Furthermore, party planners were told that large keggers” can be dangerous as there is often over crowding.
