(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Friday August 12, 2016, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted by a resident of Maitland Ave South in Listowel who reported the theft of a dirt bike from his detached shed.
Investigation revealed that sometime between 8 p.m. Thursday August 11th and the noon hour on Friday August 12, 2016, an unknown person entered the unlocked shed and removed the dirt bike.
The dirt bike is a 2012 green and black Kawasaki KX450 dirt bike valued at approximately $5,000. It has a blue “ACN” decal on the front left fairing.
The OPP encourages all homeowners to always lock doors, windows and garages to help prevent these types of thefts. The public is urged to contact the police immediately when observing “suspicious” activity, people or vehicles. The OPP can be contacted at 1-888-310-1122.
