(WALKERTON, ON) On March 20, 2008 at 12:55 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a fraud at the Toyota dealership located on Kincardine Highway in Walkerton. The South Bruce OPP and the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit began a fraud investigation involving numerous interviews and a large quantity of documents.
The investigation culminated on July 3, 2013 with an arrest of a former employee. 61 year old Kathryn DANKEL of Hanover has been charged with Fraud over $5,000, Theft over $5,000 and Breach of trust. She is scheduled to appear in court on September 9, 2013 to answer to the charges.
