Karen EDISSI – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Sunday August 18, 2013 shortly before 8 p.m. an off duty Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was following an eastbound Toyota sedan on Line 36 north of Sebringville. The Toyota was observed weaving in its lane and was varying in speed. The officer managed to pull over the Toyota and was assisted by on duty officers. The lone female occupant of the Toyota displayed signs of impairment. She was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where she failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.

Karen EDISSI (63) of Waterloo has been charged with “impaired driving”, and “drive motor vehicle – over 80 mgs of alcohol”. She has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on Monday September 16, 2013. She also received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and her Toyota was impounded for seven days.
