Fail to Remain Collision Results in Charges
On Thursday August 30th, 2012 at 1:38 a.m., Guelph Police received several calls regarding a 2003 BMW 325 striking a tree on Kathleen Street, Guelph. Further information was received that two males were seen running from the vehicle east on Speedvale Avenue from Kathleen Street, Guelph.
Officers arrived and found that the vehicle had struck two trees and a parked vehicle in the parking lot of 65 Speedvale Avenue, Guelph.
Damage in this collision is estimated at over $15000.
On Sunday September 16th, 2012, the Guelph Police Traffic Unit concluded their investigation with the arrest of the registered owner of the BMW.
Kamal SCOTT 22 years of Toronto was charged with Failing to Remain at the Scene of an Accident as well as Dangerous Driving. He will appear in court in October.
