Justin Thompson – Stolen Motorcycle, Drive While Disqualified

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) On Sunday, November 13, 2011 at approximately 9:45 p.m., a Huron County OPP officer stopped a motorcycle on Harriston Road east of Wroxeter. A check on the vehicle identification number revealed the 2003 Suzuki Katana had been reported stolen from Wellington County.

During the investigation the driver provided a false name to the officer. With the assistance of Wingham Police Service the driver’s real name was determined. A check on his driver’s licence status determined he was also a prohibited driver.

As a result, Justin THOMPSON aged 22 from Morris-Turnberry, ON has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada, Operation while Disqualified contrary to section 259(4)(a) Criminal Code of Canada and Public Mischief contrary to section 140(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada.

THOMPSON will have to attend Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham on January 19, 2012 to answer to the charges. LP11322591
