(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – On Friday July 26, 2013 at approximately 10:34pm, a County of Wellington OPP officer investigated the driver of a vehicle travelling on Wellington Road 124 near Wellington Road 32 in Guelph-Eramosa Township. While speaking to the driver of the 2005 Mazda, police determined he had been drinking. The driver was administered a Roadside Screening Device test, which resulted in a Fail being registered. Further investigation revealed the driver was currently suspended twice under the Highway Traffic Act.
Justin Swain, age 31 of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada, as well as 2 counts of Drive Suspended, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on August 23, 2013 to answer to the charges.
