Joshua Arsenault – Stunt Driving, No Insurance

(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) On Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 4:45 pm, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were involved in a motor vehicle investigation on Imperial Road just south of Willow Road in the City of Guelph when a 2001 GMC pickup truck approached that location. The pick-up truck made a loud exhaust noise and blew smoke into the air prior to passing the officer. Just after the truck passed the officer, who was speaking to the other driver, the officer again heard the truck engine rev, smoke pour out of the exhaust and tires squeal.

Joshua Arsenault aged 18 of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle Stunt Driving and Fail to Surrender Permit contrary to the Highway Traffic Act as well as Operate Motor Vehicle, No Insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph POA court on April 4, 2013 to answer to the charges. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
