MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Thursday June 13, 2013, shortly after 1:30 a.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol pulled over a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck for a routine traffic stop on St. Andrew Street in Mitchell.
The male driver provided a false name to the officer and it was discovered that the vehicle was not insured and that the license plates were not registered to the truck. The driver was also found to be on a Criminal Code suspension.
Joseph FEENEY (19) of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with obstruct justice, drive disqualified, use plates not authorized for vehicle, and operate a motor vehicle without insurance. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on July 15, 2013, to answer to these charges.
The pickup truck was towed and has been impounded for the prescribed 45-day period under Ontario’s vehicle impoundment program.
