(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – On November 5, 2012 at 10:37am County of Wellington OPP were conducting moving radar and monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 124 just east of County Road 29 in Guelph-Eramosa Township. At this time and location, Constable Nick Oudshoorn observed a westbound 2010 Ford pick-up truck travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 132 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. The drivers licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Joseph Castellano age 30 of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on January 16 2013 to answer to the charge.
