(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) On Monday September 23, 2013, at approximately 8:13 pm, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer Ellison Catuira was conducting moving radar on Highway 23, Town of Minto.
At this time and location, a 2001 Dodge Dakota was travelling northbound well above the posted speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 148 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
Jordan WINGER age 20 of North Perth has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on December 4, 2013 to answer to the charge.
