Jordan Atkinson – Drunk Driving – 90 Licence Suspension

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Sunday June 03, 2012 around 4 a.m. an OPP officer on patrol along Line 75 West of Atwood observed a fast moving vehicle approach. The officer activated the police radar in his cruiser and determined that the other vehicle was travelling above the speed limit.

The officer pulled over the Dodge pickup truck and observed a person passed out in the box of the pickup truck as well as a passenger passed out in the rear seat of the truck. The driver was administered a roadside breath test which he failed. The driver also failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests at the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel.

Jordan Atkinson (20) of The Municipality of North Perth has been charged with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”. He is scheduled to appear in Listowel Court on July 11, 2012, to answer to this charge. He was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
