(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – On March 21, 2017, at approximately 9:38 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on the Highway 401 eastbound on-ramp at Wellington Road, in the City of London, Ontario.
The male driver of the motor vehicle (a grey Chevrolet car) provided false information to officers regarding his identity and he was placed under arrest.
As a result of the police investigation, 20-year-old Jonathan LANDRY, from London, Ontario, has been charged with obstruct peace officer, fail to comply with probation order (X2), and unauthorized possession of weapon, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) with drive motor vehicle no currently validated permit, and drive motor vehicle – no licence. He was further charged with fail to have insurance card, contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).
The accused was held in custody and scheduled to appear before the London, Ontario, courts.
