Johnathan Stoffels-Reid – Stolen Property, Prohibited Weapon

Last week a resident of Owen Sound had their bicycle stolen. On July 30 the same citizen observed a man with a bicycle which had parts from the stolen bicycle. The citizen followed the man and alerted police. Police located the male and placed him under arrest for possession of stolen property.

Police later executed a search warrant at the residence of the man and located more parts of the stolen bicycle. In addition, police located a stolen outboard motor valued at $3000 that had been stolen from the back yard of a house in the fall of 2012. Police also located brass knuckles in the residence which are a prohibited weapon. Johnathan Stoffels-Reid , 22 years of Owen Sound has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, one charge of possession of a prohibited weapon and two charges of failing to comply with a probation order. Stoffels-Reid has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on July 31, 2013.
