(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On Saturday November 17, 2012 at 11:00pm Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting radar speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Side Road 18 just west of the Eighth Line of the Town of Erin. At that time and location Constable Ian Donaldson observed an eastbound motor vehicle travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the 2010 Lexus on radar at 106 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. The drivers licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
John Wright aged 46 of Guelph has been charged with Racing contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on January 16, 2012 to answer to the charge.
