John is expected to appear before the courts and his bail has been opposed.
The victim has been released from the hospital and is recovering.

Serious Assault
On Friday August 12th at approximately 2:20pm Hamilton Police responded to reports of a street disturbance on King St E between East Ave and Emerald St.
Once on scene a 31yr old male was located suffering serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The male was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Police have no concerns for public safety as a result of this incident.
