(Huron County, ON) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Anti-Rackets Branch in conjunction with the OPP Lambton Detachment and the OPP Huron Detachment has charged a Bluewater man with a number of fraud related offences following a one-year investigation.
The investigation revealed the accused defrauded five different people in four separate occurrences beginning in 2009 by providing false information to the victims leading them to believe that they were investing in legitimate business transactions involving the purchase of heavy equipment, which were fraudulent. The accused then utilized the victims’ money for personal use.
Bradley John MANN, age 50 of Bluewater Ontario has been charged with:
Fraud Over $5,000 (four counts);
Misappropriation of Money Held Under Direction (four counts);
Uttering a Forged Document (three counts) and;
Possession of Proceeds of Crime (four counts).
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on September 10, 2012 in Goderich.
