(ST.MARYS, ON) On Saturday October 08, 2011 at approximately 3:30 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer while patrolling St.Marys observed a pickup truck driving south bound on Water St. weaving in its lane. The officer conducted a stop near the quarry pool and while speaking to the driver detected signs of impairment. The driver was taken to the Perth County Detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.
John Latham (52) of Stratford has been charged with Impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and with operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on November 14, 2011 to answer to these charges. He was also issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his truck was impounded for 7 days.
